BioMIR Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2026

BioMIR is a privacy-first health and wellness application designed to operate entirely on the user’s device.

Data Collection

BioMIR accesses health and clinical data only with explicit user authorization via Apple HealthKit and Apple Clinical Health Records (CHR).

Depending on user permissions, this may include laboratory results, vital signs, and other clinical or wellness data made available through Apple Health.

BioMIR does not independently collect data and does not access any health or clinical information without user consent.

Data Processing and Storage

For the current version of BioMIR:

BioMIR does not operate backend servers for health or clinical data collection or processing in this app.

Data Usage

Authorized health and clinical data is used solely to:

BioMIR does not use health or clinical data for:

Data Sharing and Access

BioMIR does not share health or clinical data with third parties.

The developer and company behind BioMIR do not have access to user health data, as it is never transmitted off-device.

Access to stored data is limited to the user and the operating system, consistent with iOS security architecture.

User Control and Revocation

Users may revoke access to HealthKit and Clinical Health Records at any time via:

Once access is revoked, BioMIR can no longer read health or clinical data.

Research and Future Use

BioMIR does not currently conduct human-subject research and does not collect user data for research purposes.

Any future research functionality would be introduced separately from this app, would not apply retroactively to existing data, and would require explicit, informed user consent presented at the time of participation.

If such research is introduced, it would be conducted in compliance with applicable ethical, legal, and regulatory standards, including review and approval by an appropriate Institutional Review Board (IRB) or equivalent ethics committee where required.

Any research data collected in the future would be de-identified or anonymized and governed by separate disclosures, consent materials, and data handling practices specific to that research activity.
